London, England - May 3, 2012 - Marilyn for ever! - On occasion of its 65th birthday, the Cannes film festival pays tribute de Marilyn Monroe by choosing her as effigy of its edition 2012. As one of the greatest of Hollywood's icons, sexy, sparkling and moving, she is featured in every magazine and newspaper across the globe fifty years after her premature death and "reincarnated" in the recent movie My Week with Marilyn. You think you have heard, read and seen all about her. But the worldwide launch in May of TASCHEN's Limited Edition Marilyn & Me by Lawrence Schiller is a true editorial event. Lawrence Schiller's story has never been told before. He tells it with tact, humour and compassion. Step into Marilyn Monroe's intimacy at the time when the movie Something's Got to Give was being shot. Lawrence Schiller is one of the four photographers still alive having immortalized Marilyn Monroe. Since his book about Marilyn with Norman Mailer was released in 1973 and sold world wide in 16 languages and 6,000,000 copies, he had never published another story about the star. Lawrence Schiller will be touring in Europe for the opening of his exhibition and the launch of Marilyn & Me to meet the press and the public . This trip crowns his emblematic career as a photojournalist, film director and bestselling author. I will be happy to organize interviews with Lawrence Schiller in London.
